Parents are vital to the success of our students at Coast High School. When you enroll your son or daughter in CHS, you agree to join your child's teacher, the staff, and administration as a team member in fulfilling the mission of Coast, which is to promote the academic achievement of your child through the independent study alternative to the 5-day/week comprehensive high school. Please encourage your teen to structure his/her time at home and to complete at least 2 credits every week. Students should spend up to 3 hours a day on completing the instructional packets. Make sure your child arrives on time for his/her appointment. CHS has been downsized, and we have very limited time slots in which to schedule make-ups. Please check your student's work regularly to assure that he/she is making adequate progress. We require that students complete 2 credits each week.
