All freshmen, sophomore, and junior
Coast High School students take the STAR tests each spring, usually
in April. The schools receive a "grade card" called an
API Index number based on our students' scores on these tests. Click
on the site below to find out more about the District's Testing
Schedule.
Also, in the spring semester,
the CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam) is given to all sophomores
and any student who did not pass it during their sophomore year.
Sophomores will enroll in Exam Skills in spring semester to prepare
for the CAHSEE. This class offers students practical test-taking
techniques and practice in the areas covered on the CAHSEE.
